Maintenance Lead
Job Summary
The data center maintenance lead will work with the management team to facilitate operating and maintaining the data center. The candidate will need to be experienced in diverse industries such as electrical generation, electrical distribution, cooling technologies and fire suppression systems. This person must be highly motivated with the ability to supervise sub-contractors. Working independently in a constantly changing environment and the ability to understand critical services affecting situations is an absolute must. Job Responsibilities- Leads operational activities that develop and implement multiple components / processes of a specified area within the specified area of responsibility.
- Ensures issues are tracked and summaries to management with resolution.
- Takes accountability of personal safety and the safety of co-workers. Immediately address unsafe acts and hold sub-contractors accountable for safety related behaviors.
- Oversees and coordinates sub-contractors to assure proper installation of equipment and delivery of maintenance services.
- Troubleshoots emergencies, equipment problems, and technical issues, organize and oversee resolutions.
- Responds to all emergency situations quickly (fire, evacuation, equipment failure etc.) and management concerns.
- Coordinates maintenance efforts with outside contractors, Oversees all building systems including fire/life safety, UPS, generators, switchgear, plumbing, HVAC and electrical services. Must remain current with latest technology trends on critical systems.
- Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies.
- Recommends and implements improvements for preventive maintenance programs on an on-going basis.

Basic Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED and at least 3 years of experience in facility operations.
- Knowledge of current NFPA, Electrical, HVAC, Fire and Life Safety and building codes
- Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
- Understanding of all electrical and mechanical systems involved in critical data center operations such as: feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS units, PDU units, chillers, pumps, air handling units, and CRAC units
- Experience with building automation systems.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- On call 24x7x365 to respond to all datacenter emergencies. Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed.
- Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
