Jr. Audio Visual Support Technician (Conference Center)

Our work depends on TS/SCI cleared Audio Visual Support Technician (Conference Center) joining our team to support our intelligence customer in Springfield, VA. HOW AN AUDIO-VISUAL SUPPORT TECHNICIAN (CONFERENCE CENTER) WILL MAKE AN IMPACT The Conference Center Audio Visual Support Technician provides support to the NCE Conference Center under the UDS Contract. This requires an individual who possesses a diverse set of technical skills, is proactive, flexible, and open to cross training. Primary Responsibilities:Serve as an Conference Center Audio Visual Liaison for all eventsFacilitate meetings and engage regularly with customers to:Coordinate and plan emerging customer requirements for conference center eventsAddress AV/IT related questions or concernsProvide situational awareness to Conference Center stakeholders concerning upcoming maintenance of AV/IT systems or technology refresh efforts associated with systems installed in the Conference Center spacesProvide live event supportMaintain IT and AV equipment related to information displays, digital signage, monitors, laptops, video recording devices and other related end user devicesOperate and manage equipment for presentations, sound, lighting and audio/video conferencingDevelop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for utilization of Conference Center equipmentEscalate AV/IT issues to Tier 3 when neededProvide workstation (thick and thin client), VoIP Device, and voice and video conference support, which may include:Resolve AV/IT incidents from cradle to grave, working closely with engineering teams and other ISP Contractor Stakeholders when AV/IT issues require Tier 3 escalation or have dependencies external to the UDS contractProvide user education and training in basic hardware and software functionsCreate and maintain documentation and SOPs to train new employeesIdentify and execute process improvements and other enhancements that improve operational efficiency. WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: TS/SCI Clearance w/ ability to obtain CI Poly Basic Qualifications:Knowledge in one or more of the following areas:AMX, Crestron, and Extron A/V equipmentAMX touch panelsCamera controlProduction switcherAudio signalsVideo signalsUnderstanding of audio mixers and speakersUnderstanding of audio and video connectionsWorkstations (thin and thick clients)MonitorsAudio Visual ServicesVoice and VTC Support ServicesExcellent troubleshooting capabilities and strong communication skills.Strong work ethic and attention to detailStrong organizational skillsStrong writing skills (document creation and management)Strong time management skills and ability to work flexible schedules to meet job requirementsAbility to work independently on projects and/or tasksAbility to regularly stand and walk between buildings on a large campusAbility to move and lift A/V equipment, monitors, and other hardwareExperience and/or knowledgeable with Windows 11Technical understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook; Word; Excel; PowerPoint; etc.)Team player and willing to both share knowledge and learn from others to ensure team's successEnthusiasm and ability to adapt to new and changing technologies Education & Experience:Requires Associates Degree or an equivalent combination of years of experience and education and 3+ years of prior relevant experience.Preferred not required: A+ Certification, N+ Certification, Security + or other DoD 8570.01M certification Location: On Customer Site US Citizenship RequiredGDIT IS YOUR PLACEAt GDIT, the mission is our purpose, and our people are at the center of everything we do.
